Advanced EMT Class
Our Advanced EMT Class is a step beyond the traditional EMT course. Students must have a current EMT-Basic certification prior to being able to register for the Advanced EMT course.
Advanced EMT is a separate certification and licensure, and allows the provider access to higher-level skills, and become an advanced life support provider.

Course Format:
Part 1: Online Didactic
Online didactic, typically a semester-long. Optional in-person review sessions. Must take certain exams by dates spread out over the semester.
- Estimated about 5 hours per week
Part 2: In-Person Lab
It Will consist of a 5-day in-person lab.
Part 3: Clinical Rotations (168 hours of clinical rotations)
December 17th – January 30th
- Seven (7) Emergency Department Shifts – 84 total hours
- One (1) Labor and Delivery Shift – 12 total hours
- Three (3) – Ambulance Shifts (12 or 24 hour shifts) – 72 total hours
Cost:
- Course Tuition: $2000
- Drug Testing, Background, Platinum Planner fees may apply.
- Active UEMR Volunteers will receive a $1400 scholarship towards course tuition.
